Flawed debate on digital TV subsidies continues

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) wants to slash subsidies for set-top converter boxes from $3 billion to around $1 billion—more in line with the smaller subsidy approved by the House Energy and Commerce Committee last week. (The boxes convert digital television broadcasts for display on analog TVs.)
I would place a link on this reply like I did the first posted, but apparently that information isn't warranted here. I actually heard about it yesterday coming home from work on the "savage nation" talk radio.
