Knowing your co-defendants, I wouldn't sign ANYTHING without talking to a lawyer.
The typical gotcha is when an injured party is looking for "deep pockets". It's called Respondeat Superior, which means that anything an employee does on the job is imputed to the employer, so the employer is fully responsible. However, if you work for a sniveling weasel (and I'm not saying you do), there are ways the employer can get around it and dump it on you.
NOTHING IN THIS POST SHOULD BE CONSTRUED AS LEGAL ADVICE. THE ONLY LEGAL ADVICE I WILL EVER GIVE YOU IS THIS: IF YOU NEED LEGAL ADVICE, CALL A LAWYER.
