I have heard of a couple of towns in the N Alabama area giving citations to the satellite/cable techs for doing business without a license. The guys I know actually are employees of the HSP. I don't know how that plays out in court?
These municipallities are getting creative when it comes to revenue generation. It is getting where you can't have magnets on your vehicle these days. But I haven't seen it down here in the Fl Panhandle, though.
Just remember most cops would rather be going after the crooks vs. persuing the workers. The police chiefs and mayor are the ones who decide what the police priorities are.
After all, cops are cable/satellite customers too!
