Redrocker80 hit the nail on the head. "Leakage" isn't the problem as it cannot happen due to the braid being the grounding method. The problems have been pointed out by redrocker80:
#1 - Signal Ingress
#2 - Moisture Wicking
One thing that I will add to the moisture wicking besides it corroding the center conductor(kills higher frequencies/digital channels), is that the transfer of moisture is in BOTH directions. In and out of the interior of the plastic sheath. Here in Las Vegas, we see it all the time: The small amount of dielectric within the RG-6 drop will dry-out and increase the resistance on the grounding path. We all know the results of that happening. Drop replacement coming soon.
