Is it just me, or does this bull**** happen everywhere? (sat & cab) I think it boils down to this. Sales Reps will always try to slip certain details by just to land the sale and get the $Com.
What kind of Sales Rep wants to inform their customer of potential deal breakers on the phone?
They would rather leave it up to the installer to inform the customer.
I just love showing up to brand new cable installs when the house is roughed in with 16 lines and my work order says ON 1. After I tell them the price, some let me do it
and some cancell.
Sometimes I get installs with 4 Dvrs with voip, hsd, wifi on 3. So I load all the equipment up in the morning (including spares) and end up installing basic on 1 and having to reconcile all the cpe the next day .
