Re: fiber splicing prices

Yes i am a sub, 22 years in coax splice and sweep, six months in fiber splicing. most of my work is doing node splits, but at least i'm working. the prices i'm getting are re-entry 115.00, term prep 135.00, ring cut prep 185.00, splice 1-6, 33.00 each 7-12 29.00 each 13-48 25.00 each, 49- 96 21.00 each and 97 or more is 18.00 each. I also get 90.00 to proof and document the node. usually i'm doing a re-entry and splicing 2 or 3 fibers or term prep splice 2 or 3 and proof the node. anything else is included such as installing WDM's in the node or closure, umbilicals, dropping lashed back loops. I usually spend about 2 hours in each location. I hope these prices are low, because i can make more money doing coax work than i seem to be making on fiber splicing. I appreciate your opinion on these prices, and thanks for responding mt.comm
