Re: Wilma

It basically looks like I was drunk (and I did have a couple). The ship rocked back and forth sideways...you can see the ocean on one side at a time, it looked like we would tip over and drown. We were all kept inside, but I found an area where I could get on deck a little, and take a look.....bad idea, I felt like I would be blown off the ship and carried out to sea. I walked through the halls with the camera, catching reactions from the other guests. I filmed the waves around the ship through my cabin window, all you hear is me and my husband and friends saying whoa....look at that one! The water was at most times level or over my window. We were bored in the cabin, so we decided to go to the bar, then to the indoor jacuzzi's. We stagger all the way and fall a couple of times....hence the reason I looks like I was smashed drunk, but wasn't. The ship had some leaks in the ceiling here and there. At dinner, the waiter put towels on the end of our table where water was coming in. When we finally were able to come in towards the land, people were going crazy. It was like a riot in the lobby...Mom's and kids crying, people yelling (all on the tape). I yelled at the crowd to knock it off because the crew all locked themselves away to avoid the angry mob. I told the crowd that we should calm down or they will never come out. My Husband thought I was going to get my ass kicked, and I almost did. I ended up near one door to the crews office and my friend went to the other door. We quietly were able to get temporary passports to be left in Puerto Vallarta and 4 of 40 plane tickets home. We had to get off the ship before anyone found out what we had, and were escorted off through the bottom cargo loading area. We were then stuck on land with the Hurricane. We walked the streets of Puerto Vallarta in the pouring rain, but it was fun! I speak a little Spanish so we were able to get to The Marriott Casa Magna, where we drank large quanties of and took a night swim while we watched our ship disappear into the dark sea and sky. It was something I will never forget.
