i've been thru many of these storms when i was in the navy. being stationed in charleston we had to sortie for every storm that came along cuz if the cooper river bridge was to fall the shipyard was locked in. if a ship had power we where out to sea. it is really some thing to ride one of these storms out( better have your sea legs). i once rode thru a storm in the north atlantic. the ride was so rough that the mast broke off (over 45 degree roll) footprints 6 foot up each wall. that was a cool ride. cruise ships are a lot bigger than the tin can i was on. they'd rock but we rocked and rolled.
