Re: no union


You are listed as a supervisor for Seacorp. I completely understand your perspective as a subcontractor. Until the company I was subbing for brought us all in house I too had no experience as an employee for a contractor. I had a good couple of years and got the boot after leading an effort to organize a union for a HSP who employees several hundred DirecTV techs in the southern region.

Until my experience as a in house DirecTV tech, I would have never given a union a thought.

You may not think that what happens at the HSP's will effect us subcontractors, but make no mistake bigger stakes are at hand here. The HSP's and DirecTV are trying to eventually bring all installations in house. If you have studied what Rupert Murdoch did in Europe, then you will agree with the theory. This theory was also confirmed by the CEO of Bruister and Associates.
