The D10 series has a glitch, but can be overcome. Try this the next time you have a problem:
At the "Welcome" screen you see when you plug in the IRD (or after a hard boot) use the remote and type in the numbers
0 2 4 6 8. That will force a download of new software from the satellite and should correct the problem of a green screen, the "fade to black" and the self reboot problem.
It was meant for the D10/D10-100 with NDS software but has been found to work with the 200 and 300 series most of the time.
