I would take up splicing first. OH Construction requires a big investment in tools and equipment. Sooner or later a cable trailer and HD bucket truck, plus rollers, ropes, C & J lashers, 90 blocks etc.
Splicing requires the use of your install tools plus coring tools, a torch, bending board, cable stripping tool, tubing cutter, a pair of banna cutters.
Find an experinced splicing to show you the ropes.. A project manager can usually point out a person who works gig free.
