Didn't those people know for years and years and years that this was a possibility if a hurricane hit because they are below sea level? None of their government took appropriate action obviously. As for FEMA - I thought I had heard that Mike Brown was a "buddy" of George Bush - the "goold ole boy" routine - look what it got that state. I still feel the best thing to be done for any hurricane victims hit hard is to send donations rather than be in a rush to get over there and hurry up and wait to work, or find out you've spent $$$ and gas to get there and don't get paid.....all be careful if you're a hurricane chaser, of where you are going and who is around you. Just my take, doesn't mean it's the right one.
