You are right. I was in for 16 years myself and it was great through the nineties, after '01 it has been terrible for me. Stolen equipment, being burned for a months pay and retainage from Spanpro, falling prices, incompetent management, MSO's expecting kickbacks, etc etc etc. I am out myself for good and learning a new trade and many other ways to make ends meet. I am home with my family every day and I have never been happier. I sure do hope something turns around for all you great dedicated guys and gals out there.
