Brilliant Cities is now building a state-of-the-art fiber optic communications network for Door County. The Door County fiber optic network will begin service in early 2006 for Sturgeon Bay Utility customers. Later in ‘06, we’ll roll out to northern and southern Door County.

Brilliant Cities, Inc. is a privately held Minneapolis-based company that designs, builds and operates regional broadband telecommunications networks.

Brilliant Cities, along with its sister company, iPool, Inc. has developed a patent-pending technology platform that enables a one-to-one, permission based marketing relationship to exist between subscribers within its ground-breaking UltraBroadband™ networks and world-class providers of products and services.

Secretary Burke will join PSC Chairperson Dan Ebert, Brilliant Cities, Inc. founder Tom Coleman, company CEO David Cousins, and Door County Economic Development Corporation Director Bill Chaudoir at the project's groundbreaking ceremony.

Brilliant Cities, Inc. will deploy a new fiber-optic based telecommunications network countywide. It will offer telephone, video and broadband services at extremely fast speeds and at competitive prices to all Door County businesses and residents

The State Dept. of Commerce has expanded the eligibility for the CDBG Community Planning grant program to include telecommunication projects. DCEDC and Door County have received a $75,000 grant to assess the feasibility of a County-wide Fiber To the Home and Business Telecommunications Deployment Proposal by Brilliant Cities, a MN based telecom company



BRILLIANT CITIES is purchasing Lot #5 in the Whitford Addition of the Industrial Park
as approved by the Cable Communication system Advisory Council.
Brilliant Cities Inc has had a LOAn approved for 150,000.00 by the City of
Sturgeon Bay, As Noted in the City Council Meeting 8PM on Tues June 21, 2005
