Re: dishnetwork superdish

You said in part

"Also does anyone know why the superdish's are having so many trouble calls when everything from fittings, cable and IRD seem to be in great shape"

Since I haven't seen anyone else address this directly, I will. As you know the superdish is a massive (for resendial applications anyway) dish with a larger wind catching area. I would bet most all the trouble calls you see are roof mounts, followed by wooden pole or metal pole without footings. Thats a lot of force on a roof and it tends to drive the mast off plumb causing week or lost signal even with the braces (too many roofs are rotten junk). I agree with others that it should only be metal pole mounted with proper footing unless you find a very secure and solid mounting surface. Now the key is to just get paid properly for that on an install!
