I'm glad to say I did not get burned, because I did not go to Florida. I was burned in 1999 by putting crews on a emergency Ice Storm and didn't get paid for over a year. I heard all of the excuses, lost paperwork, paperwork wrong, can not prove work was complete, manager fired that was over storm damage, re-summit paperwork and we will get you paid and the checks in the mail. Beware, beware make sure you check references of the person(s) you go to work for. They check you out, so make sure you get a contract or a letter of intent before you leave your driveway. Make sure after you begin the work, keep a good paperwork log with copies of everything you turn in, with signatures that work was completed.
