You could go down to your local recruiter and sign on for a 3 year tour of duty. Specify your MOS as a "Communications Specialist" and they will almost guarantee that is what you do for your job in between shooting the insurgents. As for the pay, well, depending on how good you are will determine if you make $600 every two weeks or $750.
