I worked for Henkels for a long time. The guys running the York yard all learned from the master, Ken Beamer. He always kept people out of town and away from home. The reason, they work everyday. If you don't work you sit in a motel room. I used to pass guys who lived in New Jersey heading over to Pa to work where i lived, and i was going to Jersey to work.
I own my own company now and i do the same thing. If your going to be a construction lineman, get ready to look at a lot of motel walls.
