Line footage, taps &# ports, dist. amps all VS. value/ingress/degress, balancing are to be thought up well before you even make a critical descision about getting your feet wet. I guess you came to the right place.
I have respected many of the people on this page that I can say you are in good hands.
Last year I went to Oregon to build in a H.E. for a small company that deliverev to an entire town. Balancing was crucial towards the very outdated system to even come close to 750 MhZ rating. Fiber was not an option because it is too darn expensive to retro this into an antiquated place.
