Advertise by mail:

Direct the material to the individual that will be most interested in your services. EG: If sales, send to Sales Manager. If installer or construction, send to Technical supervisor. If cannot locate, send to System Manager.

Advertise by phone:

Just pick up the phone and call your prospect.

Best source of Prospects for mail or phone: Cable TV Fact Book, available to view for free at most libraries in the Reference Section. The book lists every cable television company by State and City includes phone numbers, key personnel, even technical parameters.

Contracts and prices are usually dictated by the Cable company so just ask how much they are willing to pay. If they say they don't need you, then use the opportunity to ask the person what the going rate for your services would be for a person new to the contract business. Most will help.
