You can hit the 105 without the bird dog. You can also hit the 121 without the "dog". I've also done this 100s' of times, but you still have to remove the meter, Barrel across and go inside and run a check switch to make sure your not getting a bogus reading. The 105 is also alot easier to hit than the 121. Its like comparing hitting a light house to a mini mag light. Cabledog is very correct in what he is saying. I KNow it was worth my money to get the dog after coming down off a roof, running a check switch and finding out I was on the wrong bird,,,,Start all over again. When you have 3 installs and a couple cases of trouble in one day, the Bird-dog is a life saver, it will pay for itself in the work you get done instead of rescheduling anything because you spent 2 hours per job trying to grab all three sats with a channell master or a sat-buddy.
