Oh boy, does this topic strike a nerve with me!
I just subscribed to this forum. So let me introduce myself. I started as a cable installer in 1966 [that's not a typo]. I've seen a lot and done it all in my nearly 40 years. You folks are absolutely right about the younger guys and gals looking to make it in CATV. They don't want to "pay their dues". If it weren't for some of us, there wouldn't be a Cable TV industry.
ps: I remember when I started, we carried 9 channels and couldn't figure what to do with the other two we had available!
