I maybe a cowboy, but at least I am proud of it. I,ve been in the industry for only 12 years, and keep growing with it. At least the cowboys fight for what is worth fighting for. That's the difference. If you want techs that just act like puppets, that would be the generation of installers right now. It's the veterans that are asked to test, troubleshoot, supervise and develop the new era of broadband. We are the ones that are not afraid, that are wise to the times and look back to the past to keep from making the mistakes into the future. We are the ones that are looked upon to guide the newbies, both contracting and inhouse, both techs and management, and get to reap the rewards of a decent paycheck and the pride that comes with it. We may laugh and cry at the decisions that are made, by the ones new to the industry, but in the end, the cowboys are the ones are the beef of the industry.
