With the news of the GFC troubles in recent weeks, I was wondering what everyone out there thinks should be the profit margin for a cable company? I suspect those working for MSOs might have a different perspective and those who are working for the contract companies another.
I would not find it unthinkable that some contract companies take half of what the MSO pays out before paying their own techs. A better company should probably pay more.
With that said, what percentage profit should companies make? Since different companies have different operating philosophies, a better question is "What is the typical and desired range of percentages (assuming these are different) for profit?"
Profit
