Re: Support the Employee Free Choice Act.


In my field, Directv tech employed by a HSP, things had to get real bad before the techs would unite. The HSP is trying to go to an hourly wage which is roughly 50% of what we make on a piece by piece price, which has fueled a CWA frenzy in our local office and others system wide.

From my experience, the guys who speak the loudest against a union are the one's who ask where is the union once things get bad. You can either bend over and take what they give you (moon)
, bitch moan and whine like a little wussy (bigcry)
, find another line of work (read)
, or try to build a union with your co-workers so at least you'll have a voice. (sunny)

Just as the threat of becoming homeless is in the back of all the workers mind when worse gets bad, unions should represent the threat to companies who want to marginalize the people who risk their lives for the company, WE THE TECHNICIANS! (hammer)
