Log on trouble

A couple of weeks ago I couldn't log on, every time I tried it told me that I was invalid. I even set up a new account using my wifes e-mail addy and it still wouldn't let me on even with a new name. I went to work and used our "intranet" and it logged on just fine, since then I've not had any problem, does this mean it was my p.c? I figured if was my p.c. that your site wouldn't tell me it was an invalid name. I checked all the simple stuff like the caps lock, I must've tryed 20 times but never got logged on. I could look at the bar but couldn't reply to anything. I couln't even send you a message that I was having trouble. What do I do if this happens again?? I'm lost without the Bar.
