Go to Home Depot or Lowes and but yourself a phone connector crimper and a bag of connectors you can then run a phone line to any place in the house if you use new phone line (24/4 or 22/2) it will lay very smooth against the wall.
The customer may remove it later but DTV checks the phone hookup within 6 hours of activation.
