Assuming He has a company that he created or formed
as you mentioned,- an LLC (Limited Liability Corporation)
and he is Not just doing Business As (d/b/a) this posted
Entity, then he would have to follow procedures for
corporation filings with in your case - the secretary of state
of Michigan - assuming he is originatiing or initializing this
company as a Michigan Domestic Corporation and Not
Actually have had or previouly formed this same Company
in another State, and therefore would be just doing
Business in your State of Michigan and be what would be
Classified as a Foreign Corporation and would File for a
Certificate of Authority to Operate its Business in Michigan.

Creating a corporation in Michigan as other states requires
several procedures and filings to be done with the necessary
agencies which could be done by yourself and more likely
with an attorney.

He would eventually have to obtain a Tax Number -
State Department of Revenue & Federal Employer
Identification Number (FEI#), register or Reserve
the company Name or Logo etc, will require himself
if qualified or hire someone else as a Registered Agent,
fill out many forms & applications, may have to have
a Professional State and or Local License (Probably Not
Regulated Occupation in MI ), theoretically obtain a
Business License at the address of business operations
Insurance - Liability, Workers Compensation ETC ETC ETC.

Even if you check these Databases - It will probably take
at least 3 weeks for any activity to be processes and posted
if it has only been recently done.
