I use a DigiSat and when I see that error, it has usually meant a short in the wire or internally in the meter. I've had to open up my meter and resolder connections that had come loose. Although, in some instances, I have had that error message being too close to the LNB's even after the 34 switch... sorry if this doesn't help you.
