Alot of states also require that you or a proctor (employee) have a low voltage liscense to even bid on a job.The test I took for North Carolina was unbeleivable with the stupid unrelated questions,it was like they didnt want anyone to have a chance at passing. Then there is the state business liscensing which varies from state to state and on and on.It would take alot of dough to get the ball rolling if your already a sub I suppose alot of the cost could be written off. Dont forget the good faith up front cash you have to put up on big jobs that the customer holds untill 6 months after the job is complete these can run into hundreds of thousands of dollars being tied up. Good luck your going to need it.
