You would have to proof the system out.. When I was involved with digital deployment in 1998 for our system we had a lot of work to do to get it to work correctly. Two of our systems where 330 Mhz system with nodes to cut down cascade. We ran 36 amps in cascade and could not get rid of those beats (CTB,CSO) thats what killed us. So we ended up rebuilding it to 870mhz in 2000.
Things I did to ensure good performance
Optimize Fiber links from Head end to Nodes
Sweep Fwd/Ret (FIX SUCKOUTS,ROLL OFFS, ect....)
Before we launce we put a couple of 256 test QAM'S on the system and check all end of lines. We checked CNR,CSO,CTB,HUM,MER,BER ect...
