Good luck man...
Sixteen years in cable and all I wanted to do was build wooden boats. I was in- house, I spliced, I did aerial construction.
The last contract job I had was a rebuild for a small independent co. I mapped one day, designed at night, built the next day, spliced, activated and cutover the next. They complained about the price . They're all pretty much the same. I'm back in-house now for a big MSO on a little backwater system. Good pay and benefeits( finally) , few headaches. The best part is, when I'm watching T.V. at night with the wife and kids, I reallize that I'm not in a motel room somewhere a thousand miles from home. Good luck in all you do. Enjoy the family. You've surely earned it!
