Re: need CATV related websites

they did have a contracted sweep crew before i came in but the majority of the "experience" that they got was how to cheat or fake it. for instance i know to change the eq to make the picture look flat or just move back a tap or two if my eol doesn't pass but thats just crazy.
a couple of issues that have presented lately - we are using c-cor 862 node + 1, no diddling sweep pods (factory settings only)... we get a 2 or 3 db hump from 200mhz to 500mhz through the le - the picture is good at the tap before but no matter how many mods we swap, or even changing everything out (conn, housing, even feeder) we still have the hump??? it has happened at 3 or 4 locations but not at every one so i can't believe it is just a trait of the equipment.
also lrc .540 pin connectors are killing us. half of our eols have a suckout at 600mhz and it is always a connector somewhere back up the line - we were just rebuilt last year.
i know this stuff doesn't come with a manual but i was hoping for a few reference sites to study.
thanks for the reply John. i am new to the site and will be bringing issues as they come
