I beg to differ , I am an ol pole dawg, I thought I had seen it all thill this fiber project came along. I just went through 6 weeks of hard core training....well...5 weeks (one week pole climbing like a robot). I work in Ft. Wayne, the newest FTTP project, the object here is QUALITY!!!! We have seen the mistakes in the other markets, (Tampa, Keller) and we have learned from that. In fact there are several inspecters from those areas' in place in Ft. Wayne at this time telling the managers what went wrong in those markets. Did those markets ever think about shifting the cable count????? THIS WORKS!!! Shifting the count saves alot of spices and money.
Verizon is run by the smartest people in the world, thats why they are the only company running fiber to the premise. And the biggest telephone company in the country.
It will take a few screw ups to get it right, but thats the way any new technology is. Microsoft wasn't perfect when it came out.
