Seven members of the 109th Congress will be featured panelists at the NAB2005 Congressional Breakfast held at the Las Vegas Hilton: Senate Commerce Committee member Conrad Burns (R-MT); House Commerce Committee Chairman Joe Barton (R-TX); House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI); House Telecommunications Subcommittee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI); and House Commerce Committee members Michael Bilirakis (R-FL), Gene Green (D-TX) and Greg Walden (R-OR).

Former ABC News chief White House correspondent Sam Donaldson, who now hosts the radio show The Sam Donaldson Show - Live in America, syndicated nationally by ABC Radio Networks, will moderate the event.

Held annually, NAB’s Congressional Breakfast brings key members of Congress from both the House and Senate to address leaders in the telecommunications and broadcasting fields. With issues like indecency, digital television conversion, satellite radio, spectrum taxes and LPFM confronting the industry, the breakfast is a must-attend event for industry leaders intent on staying up-to-date on the latest in Washington.

HDTV: The Next Generation
HDTV continues its upward momentum as price points of HDTVs continue to fall, HD picture quality improves every year, and broadcast and cable networks offer more and more of their programming in high-definition. Mark Cuban’s HDNet has been at the forefront of the movement, producing more hours of original programming in HD than any other network, and finding new ways to give viewers programming they can’t find anywhere else, from "Sights and Sounds" raw, unedited HD news coverage from hot spots around the world, to movies like "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room," shot in HD and set to premiere day-and-date in theaters and on HDNet Movies simultaneously. Cuban will talk about what’s in store next for HDTV.
