Re: 4 port satellite dish

Yes you only need to run a single line to each individual outputs on the dish. Up to four recievers then you need a multiswitch. Otherwise do as the dblues says.

You must still ground the system however. Just like you would on a cable system. It is also good to run a ground to the dish also. 1 to help pul static electricity from the dish and ground the dish if it does get hit. You can use double RG-6 rated up to 3ghz with ground attached to the wire. To do this. Use the green screw included with the dish to ground to the foot of the mast.

Helpful tips. Make sure your Mast is PLUMB. If you are attaching to the roof. Get some bishops tape to put on the bottom of the foot to help seal the foot to the roof. Then silicon around the bolt holes and foot itself. When moving the dish move it VERY slowly when your trying to listen for the reciever meter. Then just listen for the pitch to change, from a beep every second to a high pitch solid squel. The higher the pitch the better signal you are getting. After you have locked it. Make sure to torque everything on the dish really good. And dont forget about the bolt that runs through the mount and sits on top of the mast. That one will help keep the dish locked in nice and good. I over tighten that one, to where it starts bending the mast into a oval shape. That will help keep it from moving side to side.

And make sure the reciever is set to phase III dish type. Once your locked in check channels 100,201,and 401 or 400. And dont be suprised if not all the transponders come in on Sat 110 and 119. Not all of them are used.

If you need anything else just ask.

Everything from there is just like cable. Aside you cannot split the signal before the reciever. You can do whatever you want after the reciever to back feed a TV if you want however.
