From the manual:
Tip on the mini stereo jack goes to pin 3, on the 9 pin connector.
Ring (middle contact) goes to pin 2 on the 9 pin connector.
Sleeve (rear contact) goews to pin 5 on the 9 pin connector.
You also need to connect pin 4 to pin 6 and pin 7 to pin 8 on the 9 pin connector. Pins 1 and 9 are not used.
