Just a personal note but I never leave my tools anywhere or intrust them with anyone, it only takes a little more time to load em up. I'll tell you a little trick though, mark them, I ingrave or burn SFDC on all my tools, (Stolen From Doug Cohen) if you've got a rain day or a little time on your hands you can take your belt, boots and hooks and brand them, just get some copper, bend it to form the letters of your name or a code or your own brand with some 9's and then heat it up with a torch and brand em,,, I write it in big letters with an endelible across my line bags, this detors theives a little, and while I've still had a few sets stolen, it makes them hard to turn. All I have to do is get on here and pass the word and the tools are useless, try it.
