And we built those systems for them.
We were like a brotherhood. We were banded together.
You screwed with one of us and you had to deal with us all.
What happened???
WE CARED!!
We cared about the quality of what we did.
We cared about the customers we were serving.
We cared about each other!
And all they cared about was how much money they could get out of it and they didn't care who they got it from.
Got it from their customers by raising their rates.
Their employees by lay-offs and freezing their salaries.
Their contractors, by lowering prices and not paying 30-day invoices for 120-180 days, if at all.
I have come to a point in my life where I feel I can never return to the industry I was raised in.
My heart goes out to those of you suffering through this period of despair.
