The answer is very simple: Go to court. Depending on what state you are in, you can do it in small claims court (depending on the amount owed). Believe it or not, judges are VERY sympathetic to someone who didn't get paid for work they've done.
I know of a few satellite installers who sued for chargebacks in county court in Alabama. The county judge said he didn't understand what a "chargeback" was, but didn't like the way it sounded.
Go down to your local court clerk's office, ask for the forms, and file a complaint. Be sure you have all your paperwork, including a copy of your contract. Get ready for a whole lot of technicalities as to why you weren't paid. Point out to the judge that that the prime was paid for the installs you did, but you weren't, i.e., they "derived benefit" from your work, but you didn't.
