It sounds like you have been hearing the truth!
The rats are drowning, the ship is burning and water is coming over the bow. Here are just a few problems in no particular order of importance…
It’s impossible to get straight answers from anyone who is supposedly in charge.
Even though you are expected to certify an entire node you cannot bill for an entire node. Apparently Comcast or maybe the prime doesn’t want to pay that much. This is a major pay cut!
WHP filters do not filter below 13MHz (really it’s more like 14) but if you do not clean up the noise below 13MHz the node will not pass. When asked if 5-40 filters could be used those in “charge” said “absolutely not, Comcast will fix the drop problems”. I have also heard that someday soon pigs will fly and that Hell is going to freeze over.
All nodes must pass a 15 minute peak hold some time between 7PM and 10PM. I have also heard that someday soon pigs will fly and that Hell is going to freeze over.
Apparently it’s not just Chicago VoIP, the Connecticut project is in similar shape. Almost everyone has left there as well. Has anyone heard of a Comcast VoIP certification project that is going well? Is there a workable plan somewhere? Comcast needs the work done and someone will eventually make money doing it…maybe. Any ideas?
