Down in MA & RI the electrical, carpenter & laborer unions are shifting into recruiting mode. I don't know about Maine.
In 1979 I started as a lineman, then a splicer in 1981. Owned my own company for awhile. Joined an MSO back in 1986. Worked my way to managing retrofit/upgrades. After 24 years & 9 months I bailed. I am now about 4 months from taking my MA Unrestricted Construction Supervisors License exam & have been working as a Property Manager/Construction Superintendent for a commercial real estate company. I had to tell my wife & kids that we had to live off a tight budget for a few years, but after I pass that exam I can shop around for a better job in construction.
