Corning universal only cuts on one side and the lastest one is some what easy to adjust the blade depth by accident. You have to use the template for the central core and then adjust. By all means use a (dead cable first) before trying this or it may ruin your day. On breaking free the fibers from the 12 pack, just put the ribbon between your index finger and thumb on both sides, make sure the ribbon is clean and dry. Space it about half inch apart, with the ribbon veritcal, work the ribbon up and down veritcally. Scary as hell at first (Pratice on Dead) but it is the best and quickest way to get the fibers you need. Your working Verizon FTTP I would imagine. Good Luck
