I have heard that you can put a lien on customers. I don't know if that would apply in this case but it seems so. If I got backcharged because a sub decided to cancel their service in 6 months thereby breeaking a contract with the sat company than I would put a lien on them. If they were to pay me the install charges (NEVER HAPPEN) than ok. Then I would follow the yellow brick road to OZ, click my heals, and wind up working for someone else! Personally, any company who practices this backcharging policy, is criminal and represents the festering boil on the A$$ of sat contractors.(argue)
