My aunt is doing walk-outs for verizon's cos now, just counting fibers. There's a ton in there I guess, Some from over twenty years ago that nobody ever got around to hooking up, by the time they needed the bandwith, computers and lazers were about a zillion times faster. Waiting for her to spill the beans and tell me when the game's on. Big time union issues here in the North East, I'm not holding my breath. But come on! Who's gonna rewire all these apartments?
So, Fiber Guy, what's taut-sheath spicing? You just hook up the pole with your fsm-40s on your belt, rip open the cable sheath with a linolium knife, and get busy right?
