GOOD LUCK!!!! it seems that the "good ol boys" ie: electricians will not give you the time of day. that would be my best guess, use your network ie:friends, friends of friends, to try and talk to some electricians so you can try to get in the door! try offering to do 2 outlets for free to prove that you know what your doing. I know you and I know what we are doing when it comes to wiring low voltage but most electricians and builders think that we are dumb**ses that dont know our butts from a hole in the ground. Most of them think they know everything until they pre-wire a million dollar home for cable instead of satellite. ie:home runs to the basement or attic. sorry so long, just been trying to bust into that in STL area now for about 2 years. again good luck
