Re: FCC Ruling Leakage

Well they will help ingress from entering back in to the system but they dont stop ingress and egress. Lets say you have a house that has a chewed up house line, it has been post wired with radio shack cable by the sub and he used a 4 way splitter as a 2 way leaving 2 open ports. And has a 15 db house amp on the line. He will definetly have ingress problems, the high pass filter will help stop the ingress from leaking back in to the system but it wont stop the egress from leaking out the splitter and chewed up cable. So to make a long story short they protect your system from ingress but do nothing for egress. So if the FCC does a fly over and find leakage from the do it yourselfer you have to go fix his work.
