He's right, unlike a lot of other trades you have to get your hands in it, I posted this earlyer, find your self a splicing out fit, go in as a grunt, and learn the prep work, the splicing is no big deal, it's the prep work you need to master, with the new splicers that are coming out once you've got your glass prepped, the fusion splicer does the rest, oh one more thing, if your splicing in a HE tag the splices ok? I don't know how many Head ends I've been in trying to figure out what feeds what because nothing was tagged, so here you are in the hub and you've got a guy out in the field running around trying to get light to a node with out shutting another one down, god that sucks.
