Re: Wallfishing

the most simple way there is.

-strip back three feet of the copper from your rg-6
-take your pliers and poke the stinger up through the sheetrock,on the cieling about an inch away from the wall (make sure it is right above the spot where you want the outlet)
-climb into the attic and use your flashlight to find the copper
-once found remove insulation in the area and find the 2x4 header
-drill a 5/8's inch hole in the center of the 2x4 lined up with the copper
-use an 8ft chain (metal of course) and tie off one end to the wire you want to instal
-drop the chain down the hole until the end of the wire you tied off just enters the hole
-before you leave the attic push the copper stinger back down leaveing about an inch so it does not fall
-leave attic and go back to where you are putting the outlet
-get your magnet preferably from an 8 or 10 inch subwoofer
-make sure that you dont slide the magnet up and down the wall unless you have put a felt backing on the magnet
-use the magnet to find the chain inside the wall by sliding it back and forth until you hear the chain inside the wall
-once you hear the chain you know you have the right spot and you can go ahead and use your razorblade to cut a one inch by one inch hole directly under the copper that should still be hanging
-once again use your magnet to manipulate the chain out of the hole
-SLOWLY pull the chain until you have the wire in your hand
-if you are fishing a "wet" wall meaning that there are water pipes in it, use your magnet to move the chain around the pipes if it gets stuck

that is the most simple way that i know i hope this helps
