I was working down in RI years back and if anyone knows the area, (Bristol, Newport) well it's one treed out MF, I consider myself pretty good with a throw rope, but I worked with this guy, Bill Lewin, and this guy could put a rope through a branch crouch be it right over his head or 40' away, first shot every time, best thrower I ever met, I use the same set up, if your going for distance though try mule tape. another good set up for distance is a bow and arrow with blow string. I always bring my throw rope with me when I go camping, you can get all those branches for fire wood that no one else can get to.
